I always regarded Ground Zero Games' NSL line as good Imperial Guard proxies, looking a little bit like Mordian Iron soldiers. The only thing missing so far was proper character models and vehicles. So I ordered some Winter Command figures from Vanguard Miniatures' Novan Regulars and a few GZG head-swaps later I was ready to go. The Ogryns are "Space Ogres" from CP models by the way.
Being proxies they are not perfect, for sure. But they look "guard" enough to me and I can field Chimeras, Ogryns, Kasrkin, Guardsmen, Weapon teams and powerfist-wielding Sergeants and Commissars. Last additions will be Leman Russ and Sentinels.
Those look great as Imperial Guard!
AntwortenLöschenThanks, Doc!
LöschenThey do look the part, I never would have thought to use NSL!

LöschenGood job on those as usual. I've been tempted for a long time by those Novan in winter uniforms...
AntwortenLöschenI am tempted to buy the whole Defeat in Detail line... :D
LöschenLooks like guard to me too Miguel!
AntwortenLöschenPerfect! Now I shall keep them. ;)
LöschenNice Avatar by the way. You never looked better!
LöschenThis is exactly what I expect an Imperial Guard detachment to look like in 15mm.
AntwortenLöschenGreat conversions and choice of models.
Ready to quell a Genestealer uprising or face the horrors of the warp.
I really look forward seeing the sentinels!
A little bit of patience please, the sentinels will be among my next posts, Wouter. I just started to paint the horrors of the warp by the way. Thank you for your kind words. :)
