Another round of Clockwork Goblin miniatures. US Heavy Infantry, a Coyote Light Walker and a Sherman with Tesla-Gun. I also finished some M3 Armored Cars from Battlefront.

Fireteam Andromeda Cards
What do you need for a perfect gaming experience? Some minis, dice and a good pal to play with. And self-designed unit cards with pictures that match your own models, of course!
Well... not necessary at all, but I wanted to have them. Fireteam Andromeda, here I come.

Now it's getting weird!
I have managed to get some of the excellent War Without End miniatures from Clockwork Goblin. Here we have a Spinne Light Panzer Mech and a Panzer IV-X with a Schwerefeld generator. At the moment they are all out of print, but there's always Ebay. I'm more than happy with them as they mix well with my other stuff! Shock Troop Infantry is from Eureka Miniatures and the small spider bots are obviously GZG.

GZG Colonial Defense Force and Brigade Models APC
I have started my opposing force for hard sci fi games. Figures will be mainly GZG, while vehicles come from Brigade Models. I chose to paint them like my Weird War II Americans to have some units do double duty. Speed of painting in 15mm still amazes me - I managed to do two APCs on one saturday, starting with building and priming. Try that with GW Rhinos!

Heavy Reinforcements
I finished a Critical Mass Astagar APC and a slightly converted Reaper CAV Thunderbird mech for my NSL infantry. I will add a MBT and some smaller Old Crow vehicles in the future and build up an opposing force to have a little variety in painting schemes. The NSL Panzer Grenadiers are also a new addition I will have to expand.

All Hell breaks lose
With my Doom Mancubus done, I wanted to post the start of my Daemon Army. It's a mix of Khurasan, Alternative Armies and Reaper miniatures which are intended for 28mm. I'm going to expand them soon with some Ral Partha and CP Models stuff.

Gruntz 15mm batrep
So we had our first game of Gruntz 15mm with my Weird War II armies. Stats for the units were easily made and the fun could begin. We had two mission objects to seize and played the random activation variant with a deck of poker cards. Also, we substituted the 2D6 with D12 which turned out fine. Another house rule was that the weapons' range on the unit cards was indicating the distance of optimal effect granting a +1 to hit modifier, while doubling the value meant +0 and triple range was a long distance shot at -1 to hit. These rather radical changes to the original rules played well and we didn't have the feeling that shooting was too deadly. After 4 turns our playing time ran out and we called it a draw since both sides held one of the objectives. Victory points for killing the german commander were canceled out by having more german units on the Americans' table half. I found it fiddly to determine the necessary to hit number for each different unit, besides from that Gruntz delivered lots of fun for us. We will definetly play that ruleset again.

German advance with Panzerschreck Team hiding in the forest.
Tank Battle. The two Panzer III were both damaged by the end of turn four.
The Sherman was highly effective against the German Elite Infantry.

US Power Armour troops deploy for battle.
US troops in no man's land. They never came near enough to the objective.

Purple is my colour of choice!
Some news from the Cult. Still purple, still mean, a little bit more old school!
