Gloomy Green Coffin Boy

Finished my first Dark Angels vehicle in 15mm. I'm very happy how the print of the Contemptor Dreadnought came out and I managed to paint him in 90 minutes. Always took me a little bit longer in 28mm scale. I will use him for Xenos Rampant. Maybe I will add a Rhino and a Predator as well, next are Assault Marines and Terminators.

Feel the armored might of the Emperor!

Nothing new here... just a group shot of my overhauled Imperial Guard force in 6mm scale. Wait, there is also a new gaming mat. I really have to paint up some more units and field these guys against my upcoming Necron army. Not really sure if I will ever play Epic Armageddon with them, it's just to tempting to play some big Grim Dark Future matches.

15mm Stormtroopers / Scions Tempestus

I am more than happy to have found some proper STLs for the classic Stormtroopers of the Imperial Guard. They totally match the first version from 3rd Edition Warhammer 40k which I owned back in the day and sold some years ago. There are 20 poses with a lot of detail and even empty handed ones ready for customization - highly recommended.

There's also some new terrain pieces, mainly rusty gothic sci-fi machinery. All items were printed on my Mars 2 Pro.

Da Boyz are back in town!

There is no grim dark future without greenskins wielding big shootas! I was happy enough to get enough of the excellent Space Dorks by Slap miniatures before they went out of business. I had them in a box for quite some time now, but once you start painting 15mm guys, all of a sudden five are done. I will 3D prints some Grotz and Squigs, maybe even a Killa Kan or a small tank. Keeping this on a skirmish level, I will go for Grim Dark Future Firefight or Planet 28 rules-wise.

Epic Armageddon Tyranids

Another post in 6mm. If I ever wanna play E:A with these Nids, I'll need at least double the amount I show here. It's more than enough for huge games of Grim Dark Future and I'll surely try them out soon. The miniatures are mostly GW and Onslaught Miniatures. Lots of units can do double duty with my 15mm alien forces. Space Marines are going to be next, I guess.

Chaos Armor!

Chaos Black Legion forces for Epic Armageddon or Squad Hammer and Grim Dark Future in 6mm. For now I can field Predators, Dreads, Land Raiders and a Defiler. Much more to come!

One page to rule them all...

I did it. At least I hope so.
For years I felt that constant itch of needing a rule system that would let me use my Epic 40 miniatures on a smaller level meaning that I basically play 40k with tiny minis and multibased squads. I tried Gruntz, Alien Squad Leader, Squad Hammer and Future War Commander which are all great games, but maybe not made for this special purpose.
Recently I stumbled upon One Page Rule's Grim Dark Future which seems to let me do just like I wanted. Motivated by my find I revamped some of my Imperial Guard models adding some black and proper highlighting. Now I am starting to do the same with my Chaos and Ork armies to have opponents for my first tests.
I can field tanks, APCs, artillery, infantry, elite troops, command units with heroes and even more stuff. Painting this in 28mm would have taken ages, I guess. The units receive a stat card with hit point boxes that can be ticked off. Every man counts!
Did I mention that Grim Dark Future can be played solo? Seems like that system was made for me... If not, my eternal quest is just going to continue.

Purple is my colour of choice!

Some news from the Cult. Still purple, still mean, a little bit more old school!
