Really, I don't get it.

I have checked prices for 3D-Printers recently. You can get the formidable Mars 2 Pro for 130 Euros. That's the price for three Warhammer 40k Codices. It is easy to use. Since I changed scale, I don't paint models, I paint armies. Why on earth do people stick with GW and 28mm scale??

Well, I'm not THAT arrogant. You do whatever you like, of course. But I solemnly swear that I will never paint a "big guy" again. ;)

 

Food in white cans - hard to open, delicious to eat

It's only three of them, but I couldn't resist to shoot some Space Hulk photos with my Deathwing Terminators. I placed them on my Doom boardgame floortiles which will be replaced by some properly painted corridors one day. There is so many projects I still want to do, but I'm also happy with the stuff I allready finished. Happy gaming to all of you!

Gloomy Green Coffin Boy

Finished my first Dark Angels vehicle in 15mm. I'm very happy how the print of the Contemptor Dreadnought came out and I managed to paint him in 90 minutes. Always took me a little bit longer in 28mm scale. I will use him for Xenos Rampant. Maybe I will add a Rhino and a Predator as well, next are Assault Marines and Terminators.

I have to start into 2023 with a big SORRY to some people that have been such great folks since I blog here. I have some really weird problems with my google account that prevent me from making comments on YOUR sites. I can still answer to your posts that you leave here, but I cannot write properly anywhere else. If I try to comment on your work, I have to re-enter my google-account (which works), but the text-box for commenting still doesn't work for me. I have also tried with another account, but that also failed. 

I will see if a new computer changes anything of that, but at the moment I'm just a silent watcher. This goes out to you, guys: Javier, Suber, Allison, Toby, Doc Merkury, Zrune, Mattblackgod, Brazo, Rodor, Mr. Martin and all the other great guys I may have forgotten. I do see you, but I cannot tell you so. Wish me luck, I will try to solve this. 

To start 2023, I chose my 15mm Nurgle Plague Marines, rotten to the core (of course) and 3D-printed as most of the stuff I do nowadays.

It's Necrovember, but here it feels like summer!

It is really warm for this time of year and I spent lots of time outside with the kids. But some quick paintjobs per evening for little more than a week gave me a respectable 15mm Necron force. I used the superb Cronz-files from Ankylo Miniatures that came out of my printer in perfect shape. I added a downscaled Skorpekh Lord and now I'm ready to harvest! Can't wait to try them out with Grim Dark Future or Xenos Ramapant, once it is available.

8mm Undead - Fantastic Battles, here I come!

I have rebased my tiny Undead and added some proper terrain, everything 3D-printed. I will add some characters and another unit of skeletons and then I'm ready for my first games of Dragon Rampant, Mayhem and/or Fantastic Battles. I quite like that the force looks like a big warband and not like a mass army - gives me the proper Warhammer Fantasy feeling! The opposing army is also nearly done, can't wait to play! :D

Epic Armageddon: Eldar

We live in the golden age of miniature gaming. Great rulesets and endless possibilities and choices where to get your miniatures from. I finally have a limitless source for all kinds of Eldar Infantry. Here are some guardians with a weapon platform and a Farseer on a jetbike that I printed some time ago. The rest ist GW, Vanguard Miniatures or forumware models. I think, given the different sources, it all fits together rather nicely.

15mm Blitz Bowl - Chaos!

Back to Blitz Bowl with a new team - this time it's good old Chaos. I obviously used the old HeroQuest Chaos Warriors and some beastmen I found on Thingiverse. Next team in the made are the Orcs!

It's time for a new kind of madness

Of course... of course I couldn't resist. I purchased those sweet Forest Dragon armies to print their single figures in 15mm. But then I thought how well they would look on a group base, how fast I could built a Dragon Rampant army with them. 

I printed them out in 10mm ranks just like in Warmaster, but I realized they are a pain to paint this way. Also, they only look good in high numbers and for Dragon Rampant you only need 12 per unit. So I ended up in 8mm and based them as singles to make them look more like a warband instead of a huge army. 

I will built 12 man units on two bases of six, so I can take one away when the unit reaches half strength. This way, I can manage a big unit in one evening and a whole army in 10 days or so. Something to consider when you want EVERY army there is... because it's me and my problem. I want it all and I want it now. 

I'm a hopeless case. :D

Anyway, here is the first half of my zombie mob. And you know how it is with the undead... there will be more!

 

 

Back with a WAAAAAAAAAAAGH!

I'm still alive and I find it orkward how time flies... two months without any update is the longest pause I ever made since I work on this blog. When I started to post stuff on Instagram, I thought people might have a look here more often - but it seems the opposite is the case, haha. 

Whatever, I'm old fashioned and I will continue to write here. It fits quite well to the theme that I fleshed out my 15mm Space Orks made by Slap Miniatures. I also added a Mega-Ork from Wake's Emporium which I 3D-printed. Gretchins and Killa Kanz are in the working queue. WAAAAAAAAAAGH!

 

 

 

15mm Necromunda: House Cawdor

Half of my digitally kit-bashed Cawdor gang is done and I am allready painting an opposing force as well. It's nice to see them coming along like this. They are really fun to paint and will see some Grim Dark Future Gang War action soon!
