Dystopian Diaries - Part 4: More Raiders, please!

Welcome to Dystopia. Every monday there will be a new entry showing my progress on all things postapoc.

Wanting to play my first postapoc campaign with Five Klicks from the Zone, I was short of Raiders. With these chaps from Khurasan Miniatures done, I can field 15 of them now. I love the sculpts, one of the best sets around. They mix nicely with the ones from Rebel Minis.

Dystopian Diaries - Part 3: We are Survivors

The wastes needs to be roamed by survivors. All of today's minis are from different lines made by the Scene.uk. They do pretty good stuff, I can only recommend buying from them. Three of the guys are inspired by the first Predator movie and being sold as US Special Forces. You can buy the whole team, but only Dutch, Billy and Blain made it into this post. The other two guys are from the CCCP Block and SKOV Insurgents line.

This time it's some more Raiders, coming from Rebel Minis. I like the sculpts very much. They were fun to paint and the masks make them very much Jason Vorhees / Leatherface. The skips are from the Scene.uk and the rubble tiles are an Ebay find.

Dystopian Diaries - Part 1: Chem Troopers

Ok. The theme sets itself easily these days. Welcome to Dystopia. Every monday there will be a new entry showing my progress on all things potapoc. I start with these chaps originally coming from Armies Armies (Russian Empire) and now being distributed by Brigade Models as Polish forces. I really like their masks and overall appearance, they fit perfectly into any Fallout-like setting.
The paint scheme was shamelessly stolen from Spacejacker who made a painting tutorial for them in 2015. You can see it here. They painted in a breeze, all five took me two short evening sessions.

The green buildings are freshly painted too. It's Brigade Models Research Base.

Rebellion rising!

All sculpts from Assault Publishing's formidable Insurgents line finally painted. I really like those chaps since they are very individual models, but still form clearly consistent units. Sadly, they are oop now.

The end is nigh

Some survivors of whatever happened to the world we once knew and two DIY terrain pieces that make the start of my future wasteland. The survivors are from the Scene and Rebel Minis. The terrain pieces use various bits from HO scale model railroad accessories.

When there's no more room in hell...

...the dead shall walk the earth!
All 30 zombies I painted so far. I also purchased everything undead there is from Khurasan Miniatures as I want to double numbers at least while keeping every sculpt unique. All zombies from today's post are Rebel Minis or Assault Publishing. The buildings are Bachmann's Plasticville or Kibri HO scale kits.

A.C.A.B.

I had planned to post a ATZ batrep, but real life (I hate it!) keeps me from playing a well scripted solo game and to make a decent AAR. Short time frames for painting are not much of a problem however, and so I managed to finish some cops, a police car and even their department building. I'm quite happy with the car and will try to use these donut-eaters in the forementioned batreps to come. I hope you enjoy the pics - and always remember:

Special Forces in Hazard Suits

You cannot go wrong with yellow rubber suits! These guys are a 15mm Rebel Minis Bio-Hazard Assault Group and they are ready for some ATZ action!

I might have found a new toy for the weeks to come...

First try in doing comic stuff like this. Thanks to Brutpaul for all his batreps and great inspiration (You have to start posting again, please!). Also thanks to Spacejacker for posting his brilliant city board I have tried to reproduce here!

Another Plasticville building done and my first ten zombies in search of brains. The undead chaps are obviously Rebel Minis with a few zeds from Assault Publishing in the mix. Only another 100 to go and I'm done here!
