52 posts in 52 weeks

I did it!

It has been a year that I started this blog and I managed to post 52 entries keeping it all 15mm. Building up several settings from zero gave me the chance to play fantasy, hard sci-fi, weird war II, zombie apocalypse and 40k-like scenarios with several armies or warbands each. Also, I created dungeons, terrain and scenery items that will bring these games to life. As the 28mm lead pile diminishes with each sold, I build up new ones purchsing whole lines of 15mm goodness. But this time, I know that it will not be in vain, that I can really manage to paint all of this and put it into service.
Thanks to all of you for your interest, your thoughts and comments and for the inspiration and motivation you gave me over this year!

Some more additions for my 15mm chaos army: chaos androids, a leader with a powersword, a renegade with a haevy weapon, a rhino and a dreadnought-like daemon creature. The androids (cannot decide if I stay with the grey or if I paint up more classic white ones) are from the Scene UK, the rhino is a Titan Marine APC from Rebel Minis and the Dread is from Alternative Armies' Star Vikings range (heavily modified, Richard might guess it's origins).

Until next time, 15mm FTW!

  1. Great looking force! I forgot all about Chaos Androids. The reds look perfect.

    1. I loved them since playing the Space Crusade boardgame which was my first contact with miniature gaming in 1991.

  4. Well done! These look cool, and I like the painting a lot. The big guys remind me of Doom. You've definitely got 15mm worked out!

    1. I even thought of a doom-like colour scheme in the beginning but then finally chose a Khornate theme.

  5. I love that big dread, and the Rhino, and the droids (nice whites!), and the sword from that guy in red. I love them all, looooove them!

  6. Congratulations, it's an output I can only dream of.
More amazing models, the rhino and dread are outstanding models.
As for the androids, I kind of like them more in the grey colourscheme as it makes them look more sinister and evil.

    1. Thank you, Wouter. I also think the grey scheme gives the force a more consistent look as I used the same colours on the metallic parts of other units. Luckily I didn't spend too much time on the white ones.

  7. Man, I’m so envious of your output. But please go on, I want more inspiration.

    1. Hey, Reed! Thank you so much.
I might slow things down from now on... I'm expecting another child soon. But who knows, I have always been a quick painter. :)
